‘Our World in Common’

Enter and Win Artist Supplies

Draw, paint or collage (on a card 4”x 6”/100 x 150cm) a person dressed in traditional costume from somewhere in the world. Or draw an enlarged detail from a costume (i.e. lace from Belgium, Masai beadwork or 18th century French embroidery). Be sure to write your name, age, telephone number and school, plus the country of your costume on the back of your card. Bring your masterpiece to the Common on the 17th to enter our competition (entry fee £1).

The top entries will be contacted by mid October and awarded exciting art materials for prizes.

‘Our World in Common’

Draw, paint or collage an iconic building or structure from somewhere in the world (i.e. Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House, St Basil’s Cathedral, Russia or St Paul’s Cathedral). Create your art on a card 100x150cm. Write on the back of the card the name of the building or structure and the country where it is located, also include your name, age, telephone number and school. All entries to be handed into THE ROYAL GALLERY, 9 Royal Parade, or Art for Kids, Walton Lodge, Royal Parade by 12th September. All entries will be raffled on the Common at The Big Draw. All proceeds to be donated to the Trustees of Chislehurst Commons.

First Prize: £35. framing voucher.
Second Prize: £25. framing voucher.

NEW FLASH: ROYAL PARADE WORLD CHALLENGE

Fifteen shops on Royal Parade have put a flag in their window. Guess the country of the flag and then sketch the object in the window that relates to that country. Identify and draw at least ten objects from the different countries and win a prize. Just bring your country- labeled- drawings to The Big Draw to Activity No. 2, ‘Passport “Photo” Booth, to claim your prize.
